Clown, flugelhorn
Gonzalo was born in Cali, Colombia, a colourful city known as the "Salsa Capital". At age 18 he journeyed to Chile to study theatre and to work with Andres Perez, a member of the Théâtre du Soleil founded and directed by Ariane Mnouchkine. He then studied in Paris for two years at the École de Jacques Lecoq. Later, in New York, he founded The Flying Machine theatre company, which garnered the Award of Excellence in Theatre at the first ever Fringe Festival. In Las Vegas, he performed in Le Rêve, a show by Franco Dragone presented at the Wynn Casino. With John Gilkey, he then created the clown character and numbers for Cirque du Soleil's Dralion. Today, after four years on hold, he decided that the time was right to work with Daniele Finzi Pasca.
