A native of the Magdalen Islands, Daniel Cyr co-founded Cirque Éloize. He studied at the National Circus School, and has since performed his ladder act at many festivals and worked with many Québec circus troupes. After creating Cirque Éloize, he travelled the world for nearly nine years with Cirque Éloize and Excentricus, the company's first two productions. In his ongoing artistic quest, he develops new acts and designs new devices, including the Cyr Wheel, for which he developed the techniques.
