Born in Lausanne in 1966, Maria hails from Italian Switzerland where she continues to live today. Co-founder of Teatro Sunil, she has contributed since 1984 to the development of the company's poetics and work method through her work as an actor, dancer, choreographer, stage music creator, and educator, and by participating in more than twenty creations. She has worked as a dance teacher for the international association Rosalia Chladek in Vienna and she composed some soundtracks for Nomade - At night the sky is endless and Rain of Cirque Éloize; for Corteo of Cirque du Soleil; and for the closing ceremonies of the 2006 Torino Olympic Winter Games where she was also part of the production group as Finzi Pasca's Assistant for selected choreographies.
